Memebox Special #7 Milkbox

Yay, I got my first Memebox. I'm beyond excited. For those of you who don't know what Memebox (pronounced mi-mibox) is here is a short introduction.

Memebox is a Korean online beauty retailer that sells un-subscription boxes. What I mean by that is, that you don't have monthly reoccurring charges and you are not bound to a subscription you need to cancel if you  don't like the products. You can buy the boxes you want, as many as you want or none. You can sign up here for free and see for yourself (contains affiliate link). Most of you have already heard that Korean skincare and make up products are some of the best in the world and Memebox brings them right to your doorstep. They ship directly from Korea and depending on the shipping method you chose, you will have the box within days. Memebox sells different kind of boxes. They have the Memebox, which is the original memebox and it comes with 4-8 deluxe sample size and full size products. Then they have a Superbox, which is a themed box and all the products included are full sized. They also have a Luckybox which also has 4-8 deluxe sample size and full sized products that are the favorites from previous Memeboxes. Once in a while they offer Naked boxes, those are already unboxed boxes. That means you will see right away what you will be getting.

Now to my first Memebox unboxing. I'm still so excited about this box. I ordered the milkbox after I've already seen a few spoilers for it and I love every single product in my box. The box sold for $23 plus $6.99 for shipping and is currently sold out.
Memebox comes in this beautiful bright pink, sturdy box. Isn't it pretty?
When you open the box you will see a info card with all the products listed as well as a short description and how to use the product, since pretty much all info on the products themselves are in Korean.

First item in my box is the Hello Everybody Bubble Bath Steam Milk (25g pouch, full size, retails for $4).
You pour the whole pouch in your tub and fill it with hot water. It suppose to have a mild vanilla fragrance and has lots of bubbles. The almond oil, chamomile and rosemary leaf extract in the product help soften and nourish your skin.
So, I have not used this product yet, since it is currently over 100 degrees here in Arizona and I am just not a fan of taking baths in the summer here, I prefer showers, but I am looking forward to using this bubble bath in the winter. It sounds good.
.
Second item is also by Hello Everybody, and it's their Nature Holic Body Lotion in Milk (300ml, full size, retails for $25).
I like this bottle a lot. Simple design, but cute and I will probably reuse the bottle once I used up all the lotion. The description says that it 's made from organic goat mil, which is gentle, moisturizing and fast absorbent. It also contains aloe vera, honey, lemon balm and spearmint extract.
It is a lightweight, fast absorbing lotion (see picture on the right), which is perfect for me in the summer. I prefer heavier creams and lotions for the winter, but lighter ones in the summer and this one is perfect. I'm not the biggest fan of the scent of this one (it comes in many different scents), it smells a bit like my mom's laundry detergent, but it just feels so good, that I don't mind the fragrance.

The third product is Pure Smile Choosy Lip scrub (25g tub, full size, retails for $11). I got the chamomile milk one, they also had a peach milk one. It is a very gentle, yet effective lip scrub. First of all the chamomile milk fragrance is divine. I love it, so calming and delicious. The scrub itself has a different texture than I am used to from scrubs. It reminds me of a mix between Vaseline, beeswax (one of the ingredients) and a few small scrubbing beads. It;s a bit hard to get out of the tin, because of it's texture (think chap stick), but it glides nicely on your lips and scrubs them gently. For some reason this one works better for me than my beloved lip scrub from Lush. My lips are super soft now. Love it.

The next product is a sheet mask by Pure Smile Milk Mask Pack (1 mask, retails for$1). This mask is rich in milk protein nutrients which hydrate and help smoothing out uneven skin texture. You use this after you cleanse your face, put it on and rest for 15-20 mins (preferably with a tub of ice cream watching an episode of Boardwalk Empire. I made this up, but this is how I would use it). I have not tried this mask yet, for some reason I had no time to really relax since I received it. Maybe on the weekend. I could use help with my skin texture for sure.

Skin Ceramic Donkey Milk & Argan Oil Multi Steam Cream (100g, full size, retails for $34)
This is the product I was most excited about. I was intrigued by the donkey milk that has been used in this product and I just simply loved the packaging. This tin is just too adorable and will also be reused, once I have finished this cream. I love that it doesn't have any chemical preservatives, no artificial fragrance or coloring. It is made from 100% organic argan oil from Morocco and donkey milk from Italy. They say it is more nutritious than milk or goat milk and most similar to mother's breast milk. Uh? Sounds weird, but we all know that Cleopatra used to bathe in (donkey) milk every day and many others in the past and present believe donkey milk to be the best anti aging product out there.
I've been using this cream, which has almost no scent, for a few days and I can say that it is very hydrating and leaves my skin velvety soft. You can use it on your face, body and even hair (need to try this one out).

The texture is creamy and thick, yet a bit gel like, if that makes any sense to you. It spreads easily and absorbs quickly, without being sticky or greasy. I think it is a bit much right now for the face, might be better in the winter, but it feels super good on my hands and feet.

Item number 6, Enesti Rice & Milk Foaming Cleanser (120ml, full size, $15)
A lightly scented facial cleanser made with mineral rich hot spring water as well as rice and milk extracts. You use it after you remove your make up first, work a bit of it into a lather and gently massage it onto your face and then wash it off. I've been using this cleanser every night since I received it and it is very soft, gentle and leaves my skin clean, moisturized and soft. i think I will start using it with my facial scrubbing brush, since it is so gentle and soft.

The last product in this box is a mask for your lips, Pure Smile Choosy Lip Pack Milk (1 mask, $1)
This is one of those weird products. I never had a lip mask like this. It is a gel like, lip shaped mask, you put on your lips for 15-30 min and then just remove it. I have not tried it yet, since I didn't have time to keep my mouth shut for more than 15 mins. I might just keep it for the winter time, when my lips are getting dry and chapped.

Verdict: I really like this box, I will use all the products in it. I paid $23 plus $6.99 shipping for it and the combined value of this box is $91. Not bad, not bad.
